I have been monitoring FillUp4Free's forum and map (to see when it starts working). I have had a few responses to my postings in the forum about inviting people over to a functional website and what my motives are.
Well, my motives are to have a fully functional website. Period. I don't have any Google ads and probably never will. I pay for a dedicated server out of my own pocket and maintain it on a daily basis. I welcome user input and would even be open to co-maintainers of the site.
I have been into WVO since 2004 and tried to start something like this site many times but the technology was never there. Now it is and I have built the site. I am willing and able to maintain the site and the server to keep it optimal and ad free. I understand wanting to make a few dollars on adsense ads but that is not my motivation.
If things change in my life to where I cannot maintain the site I am willing to pass it on to someone that can. If Chris at fillup4free wants to pass the controls over, I'd be willing to take them and run.
So, please join the site, add yourself to the map and participate in the forum.
